Business Gurus talk Funeral Industry

By Hep | June 20, 2008

Well, I have to say that this was one of the most in depth discussions about business strategy and the funeral industry.

It is not too often that you get to hear a couple industry experts and PhD of Entrepreneurship have a free wheeling discussion about business strategy and the funeral profession.

I asked Nevin Mann of West Laurel Hill Cemetery in Pennsylvania to join me for an opportunity to talk business with an “industry outsider” who happens to be a world renowned professor and lecturer - Dr. Kevin Hindle of Swinburne University, Australia and guest visiting professor at Baylor University, Texas.

This is a “Must Listen” and also glimpse of how you can think strategically about your funeral home or cemetery and capitalize on of the changing trends and more importantly, leaving your competition in the dust!

Leave me a comment to let me know what you think of this one!

I would like to publically thank Kevin and Nevin for a great dialogue! There are many “gems” in the hour long call - so it is well worth the listen.

If you do not know what your “Business Model” is, you will have a better understanding of what it could be and also how to get there.

Please sumbit a comment after listening - thanks and I hope you can make the Strategy call on Monday, June 23!
